We are looking for a Breaking News Writer to join our digital news team. This is a beginner-friendly, fully remote role with full training provided — no prior newsroom experience required.
You will monitor news sources and social platforms throughout the day, pitch and write timely stories, and help turn developing news into clear, engaging articles. Topics range widely, from politics and culture to entertainment and human interest.
What you’ll do:
Follow the news across multiple platforms and spot emerging stories early. Research and verify facts from several sources before publishing. Write clean, accurate copy with minimal editing. Work with editors on story angles and follow-ups. Handle several stories at once and meet deadlines. Use a content management system and basic media to support your stories.
Who we’re looking for:
Someone who genuinely enjoys following the news and is curious about many topics. Good research habits and a careful eye for accuracy. Clear, engaging writing and a willingness to learn. Comfort working independently and adapting to new subjects. Full training is provided, so a strong interest and reliability matter more than a long CV.
