Location: Remote work worldwide (United States preferred)
We are looking for a beginner writer with strong writing skills who is eager to learn how writing fits into a real industry. You enjoy variety and want to build your writing and editing skills across different formats, styles, and tones. This is a fully remote role with full training provided.
What You’ll Do
Work closely with experienced writers to revise reports and plans drafted by technical teams. Help write and revise copy for social media, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Draft original content from technical notes and team sessions. Do research and conduct interviews to write articles. Partner with designers and video editors to pair written content with visuals. Contribute to a range of project types.
What We’re Looking For
Strong writing, communication, and collaboration skills. Practice evaluating content for story, tone, clarity, style, and organization. Comfort giving and receiving feedback. Some experience following a style guide. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word. A keen eye for grammar and syntax. Good organization and a commitment to deadlines.
Writing Sample
Applicants should submit a writing sample that shows strong writing and editing. Samples that explain complex ideas clearly, organize information well, adapt tone for an audience, or tell an engaging story are welcome. Academic, professional, and personal projects are all fine.
Position Details
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours a week.
Contract length: Summer internship term, with potential to move into a longer role.
